Team 17 publisher and developers at Playtonic Games have published a new trailer for Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair, in which they announced that the platform adventure will be released on October 8, 2019 on Nintendo Switch, PS4, Xbox One and PC.

In a new video, the authors also announced the return of the so-called tonics - there will be 62 in all in the game. The tonics will allow players to change the gameplay rules, improve the abilities of the main character, as well as change the appearance of the levels and Yok himself. For pre-ordering the game, gamers will receive four exclusive tonics.

The announcement of Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair took place in early June. Then the developers announced that it would be a spin-off of the original platformer, where the main prospects will be 2.5D and a top view.

Later, the authors said that they prepared for the future platform adventure two dozen locations, but this number can be doubled using a special mechanism for changing levels.
