When designing battles, the developers of Gears 5 was inspired by BioShock Infinite

We already know that the developers of Gears 5 in the storyline campaign of the action movie introduced a number of unexpected innovations, including open locations - because of this, the design of the battles had to be changed.


Previously, in Gears of War, fights were almost always initiated by scripts, when opponents noticed the player and began to attack him without the possibility of tactically approaching the enemies and taking convenient positions.


In Gears 5, The Coalition team was inspired by BioShock Infinite, so users will have the opportunity to start the battles themselves, spotting all the opponents in the area and starting their destruction in a convenient way. For example, you can first deal with snipers at a height, and then switch to ordinary fighters.


Some groups of enemies will simply wander around the location, so you can skip them at all, going to the right place without noise. Strong opponents, by the way, will now have their health indicated so that they can better understand how close they are to death.
Gears 5 will be released September 9 on the Xbox One and PC, however, buyers of the ultimate edition and subscribers of the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate will be able to begin the passage on September 5.

The first estimates of the action movie will appear on September 4 at 4:00PM.
