Closed beta testing is underway right now in The Surge 2, during which gamers discovered that the authors used Denuvo anti-piracy protection.

However, one of the developers from the Deck13 studio on The Surge 2 on Steam confirmed that the game will not be protected by Denuvo on release. Anti-piracy protection was used only in closed beta.

Last week, the creators of The Surge 2 reported that the game had gone gone for gold, which means that no transfers are expected. In honor of this event, the authors presented a fresh action movie trailer with press reviews, which also featured plot details of the sequel.
Recall that for pre-ordering players will receive the “URBN Outfit Kit”, which includes armor, “the cult weapon of Warren from The Surge” (cutter), Fateful Ax, URBN-drone, a module with a scanner for finding loot and a unique icon for online messages .

The Surge 2 will be released September 24, 2019 on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
