Blizzard developers released a major update for Overwatch, which added the new hero Sigma and role search to the main servers of the online shooter, as well as made changes to the balance. On test servers, changes were available for about a month.
We previously said that Overwatch is switching to the “2-2-2” formula. Now, in line for the “Quick Game” and “Competitive Game”, all players will be asked to decide on the role: “tank”, damage or support. Before the start of the match, only heroes corresponding to the chosen role will be available for selection. You cannot change the role until the end of the match. According to the same system, e-sports competitions will be held.
As for the new hero, his company Blizzard introduced at the end of July. It was astrophysicist Sibren de Kuiper from the Netherlands, who studied the laws of gravity, but as a result of an unsuccessful experiment with a black hole fell into a gravitational field.

Later, players drew attention to the appearance of the new hero. Sigma is clad in heavy armor, but barefoot. As it turned out, this is not an accident. Blizzard artist Qiu Feng explained that in this way, the authors wanted to emphasize the background of the character.
