Deep Silver publisher and Ys Net developers have updated the Shenmue 3 page in the Epic Games Store and published the official system requirements for the PC version of the game.

The authors advise players to use an Intel Core i7-7700 processor and 16 GB of RAM, and also note that after installing the game, it will take 100 GB of free space on the hard disk. In addition, the game is being developed on the Unreal Engine 4, but will not take advantage of DirectX 12.

During E3 2019, it became known that the PC version of Shenmue 3 would become a temporary exclusive to the Epic Games Store and get to Steam only a year after the release. A similar decision was greeted by fans with great dissatisfaction, so each player who financed the Kickstarter project may request a full refund.

The head of Epic Games Tim Sweeney confirmed that the studio will personally pay for all the returns, so that the decision of dissatisfied contributors does not affect the developers' budget.

The release of Shenmue 3 will take place on November 19, 2019 on PS4 and PC.
