From a recent analysis by Digital Foundry, it became known that Remedy’s Control hardly works on the base PS4 and Xbox One. And especially strong, surprisingly, went to the console from Sony.
However, Finnish developers have already reported that they are working on the first major update for the game, which, however, will be released only in a few weeks. In it, the team intends not only to start improving performance on consoles, but also:
- enable disabling motion blur and grit
- fix map loading with all interface elements.
Now the update is scheduled for mid-end September.
Next week, Remedy will present a more extensive plan for the release of updates, sharing its plans for the near future, including the features of the upcoming photo mode.
But what you definitely should not expect in Control is the appearance of HDR - a wide dynamic range. According to the developers, even at the beginning of development they decided not to pay attention to this technology, focusing on other aspects of the project.
