7:01 PM On Steam, you can now tag games that you already bought on another platform |
One of the Steam developers, Alden Kroll, in his Twitter account, spoke about the new feature in the Valve digital store. Now users can mark already purchased games on another platform.
The function has become an alternative to the “Ignore” button and, in contrast to it, will allow users to hide irrelevant recommendations, noting that they are still interested in the game. Thus, the system will be able to use the project to create future recommendations.
You can find previously ignored games here. However, as Kroll noted, you are not required to return and remove projects from the list. The developers intend to use the new data obtained using the “Played on a different platform” button to improve new recommendation systems, such as the “Interactive Advisor”.
Recall that in early July, Valve announced a new test system dedicated to experimental functions: Steam Labs. It is designed to test new ideas on the store website. The company has already shared the first results related to the functions of "Interactive Advisor" and "Automatic Show".
