The Xbox-Now portal, citing an anonymous but reliable source, says the new Splinter Cell will be announced as part of Gamescom. A major gaming exhibition will be held from August 20 to 24 in Cologne.

The release of the new game about the adventures of Sam Fisher (or maybe not Fisher at all) is planned for the next fiscal year, which will take place for Ubisoft from April 2020 to March 2021. Thus, the continuation of the popular stealth series can be released next year, somewhere in October.

According to Xbox-Now, the game may become part of the starting line of next-generation consoles, which will be released in late December 2020.

Earlier, Yves Guillot hinted that the series will continue.
