The Bluetooth Special Interest Group (SIG) website has posted information regarding the next-generation NVIDIA Shield TV console. It is noteworthy that the novelty runs exactly like the NVIDIA Shield Android TV Game Console, which indicates gaming positioning.

Moreover, the novelty will allegedly be available in two versions: mdarcy and sif. Apparently, they will differ in a set of ports, as well as the presence / absence of a television tuner. Other differences have not yet been reported.

As the software platform, Android TV will be used, most likely based on the latest version of the OS - Android 10. An NVIDIA Tegra X1 t210b01 processor will be installed inside, the same one is in the portable Nintendo Switch Lite console.

According to SIG, Bluetooth 5.0 and probably Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) are expected to support wireless. Sound technology includes Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos, promised support for 4K video at 60 FPS. A symmetric USB Type-C port is also claimed.

The novelty should be expected before the end of this year, but there is no exact date yet. Unknown and price.
