Foul Play

The upcoming update will introduce a new type of structure: forts in the free Mortal Empires add-on for Total War: WARHAMMER 2. They are designed to make siege battles tighter, more diverse and longer, so that it does not come down to attacking the outer walls or defending them.

There will be several lines of defense in the forts where you can place the defenders of the fortress and guns. Even if the attackers break the first line, the besieged will be able to retreat to another position and continue the battle. It will be especially difficult to fight on the stairs: attackers will have to prepare for fierce and uncomfortable battles in narrow aisles.

We believe that we should pay more attention to the territories inside the fort. No less than the wall itself. So we are trying to introduce on each new map several levels and areas for battles that players will be waiting for after the battle for the outer walls. So what happens will be a little more interesting.

Creative assembly

Forts will be erected on mountain passes and at other important strategic points around the territory of the Empire. We are waiting for the update on September 11, simultaneously with the release of two new DLCs.
