Studio Yacht Club Games is working on a new game from the Shovel Knight series. And the next part will be unusual: it is created together with the British studio Nitrome, specializing in mobile games.

Shovel Knight Dig will be a mix of traditional platformer with game mechanics like Mr. Driller and SteamWorld Dig. The hero will have to go underground and finally be able to use his notorious shovel for its intended purpose: to break through passages in the soil.

For Shovel Knight Dig come up with a completely new story with new knights. Elements of procedural generation will provide uniqueness to each adventure. And the soundtrack will again be answered by Jacob "Jake" Kaufman (Shantae series).

In addition to the new game, the studio promises to release "life-improving" additions to the already released ones. Versions for the Nintendo Switch will receive new ones, in Shovel Knight there will be a cooperative and achievements, in Specter of Torment - new levels for testing. Developers are also working on the board game Shovel Knight: Dungeon Duels.
