Foul Play

Famitsu has published four minutes of gameplay for the Haven project, a new work by The Game Bakers.

The developers described their game as follows:

“In Haven, you share the adventure of two lovers who escaped to a lost planet. Playing as Yu or Kai, glide over the fields of a broken world, solving its riddles in search of a way to stay together.

Haven is an accessible, relaxing RPG for everyone. It gives the opposite sensation compared to Furi. But as with Furi, we tried to create a game that you hadn't played before. The story of a couple fighting for their freedom, for the recognition of their relationship: what love looks like when you went through the early phase of seduction, when you can be honest with each other ... We do not think that this was reflected in the games.

Haven is a story-packed adventure with touching characters that you fall in love with while watching their trials and daily life. But it is also a (J) RPG with an innovative combat system that allows you to control two characters at the same time, combining their actions through tactics and time.

When creating the game, we were inspired by many ideas and projects, but in general terms, Haven is a kind of result of love from the meeting of Journey and Persona.

Haven is essentially a single player game, but a second player can join the adventure on a local network. So players can share moments of research and progress with each other. ”

The release of Haven is expected in 2020 on the PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch and PC.
