The Japanese studio Kadokawa Games and the publisher PQube have released in the West the famous visual bestselling novel Root Letter. The players will get the re-release of Last Answer, which appeared in Asia at the end of 2018.

The main character of the game Root Letter: Last Answer fifteen years ago corresponded with a girl named Ayia Fumino, but then she stopped responding. Aija's letter suddenly appears, which was not sent, and it turns out that the girl was implicated in a long-standing murder.

The game consists of two parallel processes. The player will meet people who once knew Aya, and try to find out if everything she wrote about herself was true. At the same time, the hero recalls the whole story of his acquaintance and correspondence with Aya. A variety of finals are possible in the game, the ending is determined by what decisions were made throughout the game.

In addition to the traditional hand-drawn narrative, Root Letter: Last Answer added a special mode with live actors. You can switch to it at any time. The game is available on the PS4 and Nintendo Switch, and on September 3 it will be released on Steam.
