Today, Hideo Kojima on Twitter officially confirmed that there will be a first-person view of Death Stranding.

However, the eminent Japanese designer immediately made it clear that the view “from the eyes of the protagonist” would be added to the game more likely “for show” - just to give the player more opportunities for immersion in the open world.

He emphasized that gamers will be able to enjoy picturesque landscapes by switching to the camera from the first person perspective, but the game itself will not turn into a shooter because of this. It is possible that Kojima meant that this would be an optional aiming option, as in the Metal Gear Solid series, but you won’t be able to play the game from start to finish in this mode.
