Foul Play

Red Dead Online players report that something strange is happening in the online action movie. Some game regions are completely extinct.

I see neither humans nor animals. I feel like Will Smith in the movie I Am Legend. The world is absolutely dead, but the background sounds have not gone away, and this is even more creepy. Every ten minutes the stagecoach passes without a rider, and the only ones left are the shop owners. Sometimes quest givers appear in their place, but they do not give quests.

No more animals, even rabbits. Yesterday I saw a lot less NPC on the streets compared to the plot mode, but I thought that the number of people was reduced for performance reasons. But now all living things have disappeared. It must be somehow related to a bunch of burned animals in Valentine.

A bunch of dead horses in Valentine have been noticed by many players. And in some of them, when trying to get closer, the game crashed. Others report that after a while they had everything returned to normal: people and animals appeared in the cities.

This is reminiscent of server problems, although it might as well be an indication that Rockstar Games is preparing some kind of global event in the world of Red Dead Online. The company has not yet commented on what is happening.
Red Dead Online recently came out of beta testing with a major update. All owners of Red Dead Redemption 2 can get acquainted with version 1.0: until May 27, no PS Plus subscription is required for an online game.
