Tactical "bagel" in the style of the space opera Crying Suns last year came out on Kickstarter. The game was positioned as a kind of ideological successor to FTL, but more focused on history.
According to the plot, the Galactic Empire collapsed, and the clone of Admiral Ellis Idaho, the greatest commander of the rested power, became the only hope of mankind for survival. Reportedly, the campaign reached a funding goal of more than 72 thousand euros, so the game will be released soon. More precisely, this will happen on September 19th.
The developers were inspired by Isaac Asimov's The Foundation, Frank Herbert's Dune and the Galaxy Cruiser series. According to the description, the Idaho clone was woken up by Caliban, the last acting omni in the Empire.
Omni are colossal “god-like” machines, obviously based on artificial intelligence. Once they provided the functioning of the Empire, but their disconnection destroyed the connection between the planets. The player’s task is to restart them.
In addition, a new faction, several endings, an improved interface with animated elements and especially powerful enemies are promised. In the meantime, a free demo of the game is available.
