Atari VCS retroconsole will support Antstream streaming service

The Atari VCS console should be the first game system of the American company in many years. It is positioned as a modern gaming device with a retrodesign and its ecosystem of projects. At the same time, it is reported that it will support the Antstream streaming service, which will allow you to play thousands of classic retro games right on the console.

At launch, console owners will have exclusive access to 50 Atari classic games. In the future, the list of projects will be increased. In total, over two thousand items are available in the Antstream library.

Subscription costs $ 10 per month or $ 96 per year. There is a 30-day free trial. The service offers games for various platforms, including Amica, C64 and ZX Spectrum. But modern games under Atari VCS are not there.

Note that the console will go on sale in December at a price of $ 250 to $ 380, depending on the configuration. The service itself is already available on a PC with Windows or macOS, as well as on Android. And his appearance on Atari VCS gives hope for the release of a full-fledged Linux client.
